Village Voices

Village Voices image and logo

Village Voices showcases local talent featuring wood turners, a master watercolorist, crafters and authors of every genre. Currently our featured artists are John Paul Henry, and Dorothy Barberis. Mr. Henry’s past career was engineering and he brought his knowledge into his art, using his skills to create amazing usable 3-D art Ms. Barberis is a master at classic, contemporary, and modern watercolors and has all three styles on display. She refuses to create prints, wanting each piece to be exclusive to the owner. We also have a local jeweler who creates unique pieces at affordable prices. Over a dozen other crafters have their work on display inside and outside the gallery.

Plants and garden art are available out front, and on Artwalk Friday we also have fresh mango smoothies, mango chutney, and mango cook books for sale. The mango theme comes from the huge mango tree towering out front over the café patio where you can check out the punk art of Dizzy Doll.

The heart of the gallery is the Florida Authors only book gallery where you can browse the shelves of the books on display. We offer a mix of traditional and Indie publications and on Artwalk Friday generally have an author here to discuss their book, sign a copy, and ask for feedback. We carry over 200 local authors from among the thousands who reside in Florida.

Village Voices is their voice. A home not only for their work, but where writers and readers can gather for book discussions, and writing critiques.  Workshops, critiques, and events are scheduled and homemade cookies, snacks, and coffee are available.

The owners offer Author Services for those on the path to publication. Everything from coaching, editing—both copy and line edits available—ghost writing, formatting and upload of your own personal POD or eBook.

Artists and creators know the challenge of expressing their voice, so we make it our mission to feature Florida artists and creators who deserve the spotlight.
