Richard Hinger

  • by

In his late teens Richard Hinger left Pennsylvania and headed to the west coast of Southern California. He started creating his visionary art using materials thrown away from his tile job. His work swiftly gained attention for his provocative sculpture made from discarded and recyclable items.  Provocative for the statement they make on our throw away culture, he gathered a following. He forged his own technique and created a unique form of sculpture. While still in California he began working on public art projects with “at risk” community children. This led to the founding of ESI-Environmental Sculpture Inc., a nonprofit community arts program. His work can be seen around the world,. David has had exhibitions in London, Paris, New York, and more. He relocated to Sarasota County recently and is continuing his work with enviroart and ESI.
